Electric Machinery is looking for motived employees who are aligned with our listed Major Areas of Accountability. We welcome individuals with prior CNC machining experience. We train employees through on the job training, utilizing our Machining Team skills matrix below which allows individuals to progress and grow both professionally and financially through additional training, job experience and performance.

Primary Objective of Position:

 

The CNC Machinist must be able to operate a number of the CNC machines attached in the skills matrix. Utilizing manufacturing information, engineering and manufacturing drawings, work instructions, process specifications, or process labor routings you will be part of the operations team with the primary goal of satisfying customer requirements, satisfying quality, on time delivery and operating machines and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. CNC machinist duties include the operation of CNC and manually operated machining centers, program edits, setting up tooling, and operation of the machine tool. Secondary operations such as deburring and inspection of finished parts, along with moving products to appropriate storage locations and completion of production routings.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift Twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted.

Some tasks may require lifting in excess of Forty-five (45) pounds.

Repeated lifting of material may also be required.

Several tasks require to work in leaning over, extended back position repeatedly, occasionally tight spaces, squatting, and kneeling.

Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.

Work on Ladders and Platforms.

Work at Heights.

Several tasks require the following hand and arm motions repeatedly; pounding with various weight hammers, squeezing or grasping hand tools, prying with various sizes of weight bars, twisting motions.

Must be able to read work orders, prints and specifications.

Education: 2 year technical degree in CNC machining or equivalent work experience with a High School diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D) diploma 

Experience: 2+ years’ experience operating CNC equipment working with large production parts. 

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota 

Hours: 2 shift operation

  • 1stshift: 7:30am – 4:00pm
  • 2ndshift: 3:30pm – 12:00am

Pay:   $20 - $32/Hour, depending on experience/skills, and machining team skill matrix

  • Shift Differential of $2.00 adder for 2ndshift employees
