About the Role

We have a great opportunity for a Recruiter/ HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Duluth, GA. This position is responsible for full life cycle recruiting, temp management and other HR related duties. This individual will work closely with the Managers and Supervisors on staffing needs.  This individual will also help with all other functions of Human Resources when needed such as employee relations, training, record keeping, performance management, policy implementation, communication and employment law compliance.

Main responsibilities:

 Full life cycle recruiting duties:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the recruiting process from development of postings through the onboarding of new hires. Manages a high volume of open requisitions at any given time.
  • Receives requisitions for new openings and schedules strategy sessions with hiring managers to identify the key skills/competencies for each role. Develops and updates job descriptions for current and new positions, if needed.
  • Posts positions in ATS (applicant tracking system) and uses social media, job boards, internet sourcing, and other technical & creative means to source candidates for open jobs. Follows up with hiring managers to ensure proper review of candidates to ensure the recruiting process is on track. Focuses on providing a positive candidate experience, by ensuring appropriate follow up & professional communication with candidates at all levels in the process. 
  • Ensure all applications are fully complete and accurate per company requirements.
  • Schedules and pre-screens candidates through phone interviews and present qualified candidates to hiring managers, ensuring that all candidates meet minimum qualifications. Schedules and conducts face to face interviews with selected candidates.
  • Keeps ATS up to date, tracking status of candidates and responding with follow-up letters upon completion of recruitment process. 
  • Coach hiring managers on interviewing and selection skills and techniques. Ensure compliance with OFCCP and EEO guidelines.

Offer & Onboarding duties:

  • Manages the entire offer process. Prepares offers letters and extend it to selected candidate. Communicates with managers when offer is accepted.
  • Explain the on-boarding requirements to candidates prior to start date. Ensures new hire paperwork is received and processed in a timely manner. Handles all onboarding: background checks, drug screens, collection of needed documents, and onboarding in Paylocity.
  • Coordinates new employee completion of Form I-9, employment eligibility verifications and processing through E-Verify.
  • Maintains other records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures. Creates an employee electronic folder for all new hires.
  • Creates user accounts for new hires in Kantola; assigns required training and validates the courses were successfully completed.

Temporary workforce duties:

  • Responsible for Contingent workforce selection and agency management.
  • Supports relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms; interacts regularly with managers/ supervisors regarding temp needs and headcount.
  • Actively involved in the interview process for all temp labor. Heavy interaction with approved staffing agencies to make sure they are complying with WEG standards and policies.
  • Contact new staffing agencies and negotiate agreements (pre-screening process, mark-ups and conversion schedule) when needed.

HR Generalist / Talent management duties:

  • Investigate complaints. Coach managers/supervisors in delivering performance coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with the roll out and training of annual performance management process.
  • Assist with the facilitation of other related employee engagement initiatives.
  • Conducts exit interviews with employees and communicates findings to management. 
  • Works with the HR Manager and Sr. HR Generalists on special projects.

Other related duties:

  •  Works with management on promotions and staff changes to ensure proper documentation is received and work with the HR Data Processing team to ensure changes are processed in the payroll system. 
  •  Participates in employment events, including career fairs and internship programs as needed.  
  •  Responsible for the internship program.
  •  Assists with collecting the information for the EEOC-1/ AAP reporting.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:  3+ years of related Recruiting / Talent Acquisition agency or corporate setting  3+ years of HR generalist experience  

Position Requirements:  Must have knowledge of full life cycle recruiting Must have knowledge of employment regulations with the DOL, EEOC and OFCCP Knowledge of various functions (manufacturing, quality, sales, marketing, engineering, information systems, etc.) within an organization and the challenges of filling positions within those departments Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines Ability and experience in handling sensitive and confidential information is critical to this role, as is having a strong detail orientation and a technical aptitude for information systems Possess strong verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills  Keen awareness and implementation of U.S. labor laws (Federal and multi-state)  Proficient in MS Office, primarily (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation Ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
