About the role

We have a great opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Energy team in our Duluth, GA office. This role is responsible for the full life-cycle project management of multiple large projects involving engineered medium voltage motors, soft starters and variable frequency drives ensuring on-time and on-budget deliveries maintaining customer satisfaction.  This role will also serve as a technical resource for our medium and high voltage product lines and will work in conjunction with the sales team to identify and provide reliable solutions via technical proposals and participate in all stages of the sales process.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelorís Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 4 + years of prior working experience with electrical industrial products preferable with a manufacturer. Must have a strong working knowledge of power electronics, electrical industrial equipment and rotating machines (i.e., Motors, Generators, VFDs, Starters, Transformers, etc.) and how such equipment interconnects and operates together. Must have knowledge of basic industry standards such as NEMA, IEC, IEEE, UL, etc. Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and SAP knowledge is highly desirable. Strong Excel skills at the intermediate to advanced level is required. Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents and electrical schematics. Prior industry and technical knowledge is a plus. Strong communications and customer service skills required.
