About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for a Technical Associate. This role is responsible to perform technical research functions to support inside and outside sales personnel, with a focus on troubleshooting technical requirements presented by customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support internal sales teams and customers by providing technical and commercial information on WEG products.
• Develop and provide LV motor quotes to customer specifications and/or duplicate special motors.
• Responsible for entry of technical LV special orders to the factory, verifying all information to support order accuracy, on time delivery, and the customer experience.
• Evaluate and process clarification requests, submitted by internal sales teams, to provide necessary modifications or engineering requirements.
• Participate in meetings and/or conference calls with customers accompanied by internal sales team members to resolve any customer confidence concerns.
• Facilitate clarification requests, when they exceed the TA ability, new product information, and technical training to and from the engineering team.
• Use established tools to generate datasheets and other supporting documentation in support of internal sales team and customer requests.
• Develop and maintain tools that improve the capabilities of the internal sales teams.
• Responsible to proactively seek out new opportunities to support internal sales teams.
• Responsible to comply with all company and departmental procedures, while making suggestions for productivity and efficiency improvements.

Education

High School/GED or Associate degree in a directly relevant field preferred.

Knowledge/Training

• Microsoft Office skills.
• Moderate knowledge of products and applications.
• Proficiency with the product catalog.
• Moderate knowledge of industry trends and market forces.
