Application Engineer - Motors

Department: Project Management
Location: Duluth, GA

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for an Application Engineer Motors. Is the primary technical resource for all orders concerning low voltage motors and is responsible for actively driving and managing the technical aspect of the order process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with Field Sales, Customer(s) and factories effectively.
  • Accurately receives and reviews Purchase Orders (as needed).
  • Generates order entry material.
  • Assists Project Coordinator technically or commercially as needed.
  • Reviews documentation to include electrical performance data and all dimensional drawings to ensure order accuracy.
  • Assists Project Coordinator technically or commercially as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Knowledge / training:

  • Understands basic to medium complex level specifications.
  • Understands basic industry standards such as NEMA, IEC, IEEE, UL, etc.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and nomenclature is required.
  • Basic understanding of the sales process for engineered products.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, as well as Outlook.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience.
