Warehouse Manager - PA

WEG has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to lead our 150,000 sq ft warehouse in New Kingston, PA with a team of 10 employees. This position provides leadership and training and will be in charge of the safe and effective receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of our warehoused goods to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly.

Key responsibilities: *Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling / disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current; *Pre-plan the purchase order pick-up schedule(s) with the order processing manager to establish the internal ready times for customer order completion on a weekly and daily basis; *Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, and purchasing; *Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with ERP system; *Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; *Train, monitor, and recognize employees’ compliance with safety policies, procedures, and standard methodologies; *Negotiate Freight Rate; *Manage Shipping TL and LTL, Inbound and Outbound International shipments; *Inspect all warehouse equipment and order repairs and replacements when required; *Lead and manage the warehouse team to achieve optimal results; *Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff effectively, consulting with human resources as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have a Associate's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in a managerial role in a warehousing / distribution management environment is required. Must have a solid experience with order picking, shipping, receiving product, outbound product loading/unloading. It is also required to have prior working experience with product on racking, bulk storage and cycle counting. Must have strong knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices. Financial and analytical capabilities to plan budgets, monitor inventory, assess data, and create reports is required. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels and address complaints and resolve problems effectively.  Must have strong MS Office skills and prior working experience with SAP strongly preferred. Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed. Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
