Project Manager - Energy

About the role:

Develop Your Career as our Project Manager I

Join our team to lead transformative custom orders that are shaping the future of energy with cutting-edge technology in medium/high voltage motors and drives systems. As a Project Manager 1, you'll take ownership of assigned orders from inception to successful delivery while developing essential project management skills.

In this role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients on your assigned orders, directly maintaining client relationships while driving outcomes that advance both customer satisfaction and our company's market position. Your leadership will directly support critical infrastructure development, providing you with the opportunity to learn and grow in the energy landscape.

This position offers hands-on project leadership experience—ideal for aspiring project managers looking to build their career while taking ownership of meaningful projects that matter.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Serve as primary customer liaison for assigned orders throughout the order lifecycle
  • Lead handover meetings with sales team and conduct kickoff meetings for your orders
  • Establish and track milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria aligned with contractual requirements
  • Manage order scope and process change orders

Resource & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with team members to ensure delivery commitments are met
  • Coordinate with in-house manufacturing sites and third-party vendors
  • Prepare and deliver status reports to leadership
  • Conduct site visits with customers and vendors as needed

Financial Management

  • Perform regular progress and financial reviews for your assigned orders
  • Ensure timely revenue recognition and milestone invoice processing
  • Coordinate logistics and shipping requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs

Knowledge & Skills:

Technical Expertise

  • Basic understanding of electrical industrial systems and power electronics
  • Familiarity with industry standards including NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and UL certifications
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills; SAP experience a plus

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to confidently represent the company to clients
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Developing conflict resolution and negotiation techniques in technical environments

Growth Mindset

  • Ability to take ownership of orders while seeking appropriate guidance
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

Experience/Education:

  • 0-3 years of experience, preferably with some exposure to technical projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline preferred
  • Interest in pursuing PMP certification is a plus
