This role owns the sale of WEG High Voltage Solutions products — including medium and high voltage motors, and medium voltage drives — within an assigned Southern California territory. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Solar Turbines, develops new and additional accounts across the territory, and manages the full opportunity cycle from RFQ through negotiation and order close. - Sell WEG High Voltage Solutions products — including medium and high voltage motors, NEMA low voltage motors, and medium voltage drives — directly to end users, OEMs, and EPCs.
- Plan and execute territory and account strategy independently, engaging management at critical decision points including pricing exceptions, commercial terms, and major pursuit decisions.
- Develop and execute an annual account plan for Solar Turbines covering in-scope sites, business units, and product platforms; review progress with management on a defined cadence.
- Build and maintain relationships across multiple levels of the customer organization, including engineering, procurement, project management, and senior leadership.
- Develop call and coverage strategies to expand exposure at additional OEMs, EPCs, and end users within the assigned territory.
- Review requests for quotation, interpret complex technical specifications, and determine quotation strategy.
- Identify project and customer details material to pricing, scope, and delivery commitments.
- Compile accurate quotations, coordinating with Application Engineering and the factories as required.
- Apply minimum pricing guidelines established by management; prepare and present the supporting business case when alternate pricing is required.
- Lead and take ownership of the opportunity from RFQ through negotiation and order close, incorporating customer feedback and adjusting pursuit strategy as needed.
- Receive, review, and validate purchase orders against quoted scope, commercial terms, and pricing.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, forecast, and account data in the CRM; organize quotation and order documentation electronically.
- Communicate effectively with Application Engineering, Field Sales, customers, and the factories to align technical solutions and delivery commitments.
- Develop and maintain industry knowledge through periodicals, research, conference participation, and site visits; attend industry-specific conferences and report activities quarterly to management.
